Liposuction

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgical procedure used to treat isolated areas of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise, such as fat found in the abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks, chest and back, calves and ankles, upper arms, and the neck and chin. In addition, liposuction is sometimes used for breast reduction. Liposuction can help improve your own self-confidence in your own body. Liposuction is not an overall weight-loss method or a weight-loss alternative.

There are a number of different kinds of liposuction treatments available today, and they all have their own benefits, costs, and possible side effects. Tumescent liposuction is the most common type of liposuction. With this procedure Dr. Lee uses a thin tube (cannula) attached to a vacuum to remove fat from under the skin. Ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) or laser-assisted liposuction is also available.

Liposuction can be the perfect way to remove selected areas of fat and regain the figure you desire. The resulting contour changes are dramatic and generally permanent – as long as your weight remains stable.
